Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (42) - C: The third part (I)
(Chapter 42:1-5)

The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Joseph said unto his brethren: you are spies!
The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about the chief Jewish priests wanted to take Jesus, and put Him to death.
The Noble Quran Verses from 1-5 are talking about 1) Allah inspired Muhammad as He inspired the Messengers before, 2) Allah is the oft-Forgiving, the most merciful, 3) the Angels Glorify with Praise of their LORD and ask forgiveness for the believers, and 4) there are created beings in the heavens.

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 42 in the Noble Quran is composed of 53 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about 1) Allah inspired Muhammad as He inspired the Messengers before, 2) Allah is the oft-Forgiving, the most merciful, 3) the Angels Glorify with Praise of their LORD and ask forgiveness for the believers, and 4) there are created beings in the heavens.

Verses one and two are composed of five Arabic letters, they are: Ha- Mim- Ayn- Sin- Qaf.
Many interpretations have been proposed for these letters that could be summarized as follows:
It is also said that this is an expression of praise by which Allah is praising Himself.
The (Ha) stands for His clemency
The (Mim) stand for His sovereignty
The (Ayn) stands for His knowledge
The (Sin) stands for His majesty and
The (Qaf) stands for his power over His created beings;
It is also said that
The (Ha) stands for war that will ever be
The (Mim) stand for the transformation of sovereignty that will ever be
The (Ayn) stands for every promise that will ever be made,
The (Sin) stands for years e.g. the hard years of individuals and societies, and
The (Qaf) stands for his slander that will ever be made; and
It is also said that it is an oath sworn by Allah that He will not punish eternally in the Fire anyone who sincerely says: “there is no deity but Allah”, and meets Allah believing in it.
However, Allah knows best what He means by these letters.

Verse three says that Allah revealed to Muhammad, in the same way of as He did with the other Messengers.
In other words, in the same manner of revelation, does He reveal to you and, did He reveal, to those who were before you,
Allah is the Mighty, in His kingdom, the Wise, in His actions
Allah is the Mighty in retribution against those who do not believe in Him, He is the Mighty in His sovereignty and dominion
Allah is the Wise) in His command and decree, He commands that none should be worshipped except Him; He inspired Muhammad as He inspired the messengers before him as Noah, Abraham, Moses etc.

Verse four says that; To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, as possession, creation and servants, and He is the Exalted, above His creatures, the most Tremendous, the most Great; and He is the Sublime most sublime than all that is.
This verse indicates that there are created beings in the heavens!

Verse five says that the heavens are well-nigh from above one another, in other words, well-nigh is each one torn away from above the one below it because of the magnitude of Allah, Exalted be He, It is also said: almost might the heavens above be rent asunder) from the awe of the Beneficent; and it is also said from the claim that Allah has son!
And the angels glorify with praise of their Lord, in other words, they are continuously engaged in praise of Him, and ask forgiveness for those, believers, on earth.
Verily Allah is the oft-Forgiving, He forgives he who repents, and most Merciful towards he who is repentant.
N.B.: the Bible does not say that the angels ask forgiveness for the believers!

[3] As such Allah, the almighty, the wise inspired you (Prophet Muhammad) as (he inspired) those before you.
[4] To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. He is the highest, the most great.
[5] The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by him glory): and the angels celebrate the praises of their lord, and pray for forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: behold! Verily Allah is he, the oft-Forgiving, and most Merciful.
